The Policy & Research Practice (PRP) , which includes our Legal Clinic, is leading the way in innovative approaches to reducing barriers to exiting the sex trade and expanding access to quality exit services through legal, policy, and advocacy work.
The Advocacy Project, a pro bono legal clinic, was created to comprehensively address and overcome legal barriers that prevent successfully exiting the sex trade. Involvement in the sex trade often results in lengthy criminal records that act as barriers to accessing viable employment, safe and stable housing, and continued education.
The Advocacy Project not only provides legal representation, it also develops and delivers trainings to legal professionals, SEI participants, and community-based organizations.
Our comprehensive training and educational programs help communities understand the realities, intersections, and impacts of the sex trade. Tailored for law enforcement, healthcare professionals, and community service providers, these trainings equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to support those affected.
